Brought to you by

Floods in Nashville. California wildfires. Hurricane season. And, of course, oil in the Gulf of Mexico. This summer, its safe to say that disasters whether natural or human-induced are top-of-mind for corporate leaders and managers who must mitigate risk and prepare their businesses to manage and maintain continuity through potential crises. With this heightened awareness, there is no better time than now for organizations to make sure theyve planned sufficiently for the unexpected. Is our business continuity plan up-to-date and aligned with known and emerging risk factors? How would we manage a catastrophic interruption? Will our insurance coverage be adequate if these risks become reality? How can we expedite claims processing and business recovery? An expert panel will address these key questions and more.

  • Key lessons learned from the Gulf oil spill and other recent crises
  • Current best practices and pitfalls to avoid in preparing for, managing, and recovering from crisis: How to build and update a disaster management plan, and how to translate that disaster plan into action during and after a crisis
  • The essentials of property insurance and coverage in disaster: how to move a claim through the process from event to payment and how to collaborate effectively with insurance carriers
  • The impact on business operations and insurance coverage when FEMA and other government agencies respond to crisis events
